4. Special Provisions for Youth Data and Data Sharing
For players under 18:
- Parental Consent and Control: We require verified parental/guardian consent before collecting or using any minor's personal information. Parents/guardians have full control over data sharing preferences and can modify or revoke sharing permissions at any time.
- Roster Number System: To protect player privacy, we use jersey/roster numbers as the primary public identifier for all players. Personal identifying information is only visible to authorized team staff and parent/guardian accounts.
- Customizable Data Sharing: Parents/guardians can choose to share additional player information with specific observers (such as other team parents, family members, or scouts). These permissions are granular and can be modified or revoked at any time through the platform.
- Limited Data Sharing: By default, only roster numbers and basic performance statistics are publicly visible. Additional player statistics and information are only shared with authorized team staff and parent/guardian accounts.
- Enhanced Security: Additional security measures protect youth data, including restricted access and enhanced encryption.
- Data Retention: Youth data is automatically archived or deleted when players leave the team or turn 18, unless explicitly requested otherwise by authorized guardians. Shared data access is immediately revoked when sharing permissions are withdrawn.
